On Tuesday, the 17th of Feb., 2004, C/Maj Steensma and C/LtCol Guerrero were in a car accident. C/Maj Steensma lost his arm, and was flown to an Intensive Care Unit in Temple, Texas. He will remain there for some time. The Battalion and friends are deeply saddened by this experience. Please pray and hope for Mike's recovery, his family, and his friends.

Welcome!

Welcome to the Round Rock High School's Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Trainig Corps (MCJROTC) website. This site is here for all of those current cadets, parents, past cadets, and future cadets! We hope having this site will help you stay informed and on top of things, as well as learn about the Marine Corps and develope good citizenship and leadership qualites.

What is MCJROTC?

Most simply, RRHS MCJROTC program is for those, both male and female, who would like to learn about the Marines, as well as be a part of a group of young leaders, and learn leadership and good citizenship qualites as well as show American Pride. Uniforms will be issued at no cost, and worn once a week. There are a total of at least two uniforms issued to all cadets, "Cammies" which are the camoflage BDUs, and "Charlies" which are the service uniforms. Cadets who further push themselves and participate may also recieve more uniforms- such as if they were on the Physical Fitness Team (PFT) they will recieve the PFT shorts. If a cadet participates in the Drill Team or Color Guard, and passes their General Orders test, they will also recieve the "Dress Blues", which are regarded as the best uniform in all the services! Hoorah! Also, apon joining MCJROTC, a cadet is under NO obligation to join the Armed Forces.
